How does Shed work?

It’s simple. Shed is a team focused on smarter living, and our full service storage services include cataloging, packing, storage, transportation, and delivery of your items. You don’t have to do one thing.

What can’t I store?

You can store anything in our storage units except the following:

  • Liquids.
  • Hazardous materials.
  • House plants.
  • Vehicles.
  • Pool tables and pianos.
  • Perishables.
  • Weapons.
  • Paraphernalia (Drugs).
  • Odorful items.
Can I visit Shed?

Yes, you’re always welcome to come see your stored items.

Can I view my stuff from my phone?

Yes, you absolutely can. When you Store It with Shed, you’ll have access to our exclusive app that allows you to see your stored items.


How much does it cost for pick-up or delivery?

With Shed you get free delivery of individual items. Delivery options include: free next-day delivery once per week, same-day delivery once per month, 2-5-hour express delivery once per year. What if my payment is late?

Payments that are more than 30 days past due are subject to a 15% charge.

How do I update my billing info?

Just give us a call at 1-855-708-SHED and we’d be glad to help you update your billing info.


Do I need to pack before Shed arrives?

Absolutely not! Our trained team will photograph and catalog each of your items before carefully packing them for you. If you want to pack the items yourself that’s absolutely fine by us. However, please note that any items we don’t pack are not our responsibility and require a waiver of liability.

Does Shed help me with packaging?

Yes. Shed takes care of everything.

Does Shed offer packing supplies?

Yes! In fact, all of the necessary packing supplies are included anytime you use Shed. If you have an item that you feel needs a little extra attention, just let us know and we’ll make sure we bring the appropriate packing materials to keep it safe.

Pick-Up & Deliveries

How do I schedule an appointment?

To schedule your first pick-up give us a call at 1-855-708-SHED. After that, feel free to use our website or the exclusive Shed app.

When will my Shed team arrive?

On the day of your appointment, the Shed team will arrive at your scheduled time. To make sure everything runs smoothly, we’ll call ahead of time to let you know that we’re on our way.

If you’re running late yourself, give us a shout at 1-855-708-SHED. The team will wait up to 15 minutes for you to arrive before canceling your pick-up and head to their next appointment.

Will Shed disassemble and reassemble my items?

The Shed team will make every effort to disassemble items to make sure they get stored as safely as possible. They will reassemble any items that Shed disassembled upon pickup. Shed is unable to mount any TVs or disconnect any appliances, but will make every effort to help with the disassembly.

How do I schedule a return delivery?

You can schedule a return delivery through the Shed app. You will be able to download and install the app once your items move to storage.

How do I reschedule or cancel my appointment?

If you need to reschedule, send us an email at or give us a call at 1-855-708-SHED. As long as you cancel or reschedule at least 48-hours before your scheduled appointment, there is no cancellation fee. Cancellations or rescheduled appointments with less than 48-hour notice incur a $50 fee.

What if I won’t be there for my appointment?

If you can’t be there for your appointment, it’s not a problem. You can give someone else permission to sign on your behalf.  Just let us know when you are booking and we’ll make sure you’re good to go.


How do I know my stuff is safe?

A big part of our mission at Shed is to store your items safely. With that in mind, our moving teams are trained to carefully pack and handle your items at every stage of the process - from the time we enter your home to the time we deliver your items to the Shed facility.

Our proprietary packing and moving system called ShedShelf™ ensures your items are only handled once at your home. Your stuff is placed into our innovative shelving system, which in turn is placed carefully and securely into our facility. Think of it as putting items in your closet - if your closet was under 24-hour surveillance.

Are my items stored in a secure facility?

Yes, the Shed facility is protected 24/7/365.

What is the policy if one of my items is damaged or lost?

The safety and security of your items is our top priority. That’s why our packing team ensures that everything is photographed and packed properly before loading the truck.

Shed is not responsible for items that are packed-by-owner or items that are not visually inspected or cataloged by the Shed team. Please review our Privacy Policy for detailed information.
